hey sambonk, good to see you posting again

not to knit pick, but i have to question your statement, "Each speaker had a guitar string,piano key,or Drum to its outputs." the info indicates only Phil's bass had 4 channel capability, the guitars would have been single channel and the keys 2 output with the lows separated from the mids and highs (sorry if i misunderstood what you were getting at)

there is a shot, "Jerry's rig shows the McIntosh 3500 tube amplifiers"...always thought he used a single McIntosh 2300 solid state power amp (as per description of guitar system further down), his reason being he felt power tube amps were too unstable at higher volumes (only using the tubed pre-amp of the Fender Twin)


as a musician yourself Sam, you can no doubt appreciate "hearing what your audience hears", but also have to wonder how earsplitting it would be that close to the source night after night (?)
